What is peer-review

Peer-review is one of the gold standards of science. In academic Journals the articles submitted are reviewed by scholarly peers: a board of scientists (“peers”) in the subject area of the Journal, review materials they publish for quality of research and adherence to editorial standards of the Journal, before articles are accepted for publication.
This means that articles are submitted to the editor, and the editor sends the manuscripts to reviewers who read and evaluate them.

Our Company

ReviewerCredits is a startup company, accredited to the University of Milan-Bicocca, launched in 2017 by enthusiastic active researchers and scientists.
The founders, as authors and peer-reviewers, fully understand the crucial value and also the limits of the peer-review process for the contributors.
ReviewerCredits is an independent platform dedicated to scientists, Journals and Publishers addressing the peer-review process.

Mission

ReviewerCredits places reviewers, the driving force of scientific communication, in pole positions. reviewercredits.com was created to ensure reviewers receive appropriate recognition and certification for their activity, aiming to enhance visibility so that it can be added to their curricula and become instrumental in career advancement.
Our goal is to become the most comprehensive platform to certify, measure and reward the activity of scientists as peer-reviewers and as conference speakers.

We add value to peer-reviews

While several metrics have been developed to appraise and quantify the work of authors, articles and Journals, no metrics and no rewarding system exist to recognize and reward peer-reviewers performance. ReviewerCredits fills this gap: by certifying performed reviews and conference talks, it creates a reviewer’s indexing score which will complete a reviewer’s personal profile, providing academic and tangible rewards.
