The Brazilian Journal of Enterostomal Therapy – Revista Estima, is the only specialized journal in Stomatheraphy Nursing in Latin America, classified as Qualis B2 by the Comissão de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal do Nível Superior (CAPES), and at the moment is indexed in 07 databases: BDENF - Base de dados de enfermagem (BVS – Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde), CINAHL - Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, CUIDEN - Base de Datos Bibliográfica de la Fundación Index, EBSCO publishing, LATINDEX - Sistema regional de información en línea para revistas científicas de América Latina, el Caribe, España y Portugal, SCHOLAR GOOGLE and Sumarios.org.

Its scope contemplates the three comprehensive areas of the speciality: ostomies, wounds, and incontinence, as well as articles related to the professional development of the specialist. It is edited and produced by the Associação Brasileira de Estomaterapia: Estomias, Feridas e Incontinências (SOBEST), its first number was published in 2003, with a regular quarterly period until 2017. The content has been published continuously since January 2018.
