Adaora is passionate about medical research and elimination of vaccine preventable diseases, a public health advocate dedicated to improving vaccine accessibility and acceptance in Africa. Adaora has a Ph.D. in Public health from the Central University of Nicaragua.
Dr. Adaora Isabella Odis is a 2022 WHO Fellow on COVID-19 Recovery for routine immunization, a 2023 Girllead fellow, an Independent Researcher, and has published more than 15 research works in International Journals and Linkedin.
Dr. Odis conducts research on vaccine hesitancy and the impact of vaccination programs. Her work includes addressing barriers to vaccine uptake, promoting community engagement, and mentoring future vaccine advocates. She actively involved in community-based initiatives to promote vaccine education and awareness.
She is a Member of the Nigerian Statistical Association and Member of the British Society for antimicrobial chemotherapy. She is also a Board of Studies member at Texila American University, Equitable Medicaid and Clinical Research and Women Reform Organisation.
A very curious, resilient individual who has shown commitment, dedication and passion to the community projects undertaken. A critical and positive thinker who isn't discouraged from continuing with what looks like an impossible goal, due to lack of resources, time, and low team motivation, she is able to keep her eyes on her vision and not deterred until the successful completion of an assignment.
