Dr. Emad Ali Alawad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Education at the Modern College of Business and Science in Muscat, Oman. He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from the Sudan University of Science and Technology in 2020, following an M.A. in English Language (2017) and a B.Ed. in English (1996). He has held academic appointments in Sudan, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, including Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, Al Qalam College, Comboni College, and Sudan University. His research interests include applied linguistics, translation studies, sociolinguistic adaptation, and AI‑assisted discourse analysis. He is committed to advancing English language pedagogy, academic integrity, and interdisciplinary approaches to translation and communication.
