Frattura ed Integrità Strutturale (Fracture and Structural Integrity) started its activity in 2007. The journal is published by Gruppo Italiano Frattura (IGF), the Italian branch of the European Structural Integrity Society (ESIS). The journal is completely free of charge, both for readers and for authors (no APC) and it is quite well indexed (e.g, in Scopus since 2012). Submitted papers are:
- checked for their compatibility to the journal topics;
- checked for plagiarism/self plagiarism using iThenticate;
- peer reviewed (single-blind, two reviewers at least).
Since July 2018, all the papers are connected to their own Visual Abstracts, short video presentations describing the core of the papers.
