A senior lecturer at the University Malaysia Perlis, she holds a PhD in Islamic Economics with a specialisation in Peace and Islamic Banking from the University of Malaya. She received her Master of Economics from the IIUM and her degree at the University of Malaya. She is passionate about conducting research on the economics of peace.
