We at Reviewer Credits value much the work of people – especially the unrewarded work. The work made just for passion or -why not?- for fun or for advancing an ideal.
Since we are people who work in academia: Researchers, techie people, journal editors and so on, we value most every kind of endeavour that scientists do for free and for benefiting all of their peers and, indirectly, society at all.
The whole work done for Science can be viewed as a struggle for advancing human condition and knowledge of how this -sometime weird- world works, thus overcoming ignorance barriers and tackling ethical and theoretical issues.
Ok, academia is not always that good! but is not evil at all. There exist some kind of academic job that go completely unrecognized and, worst, unknown.
Our objective is taking to visibility at least one of them: Peer review.
If you’ve stumbled upon this blog, probably you are a researcher or a university people or just someone interested in Science processes and issues. So – I will not explain in details much of the topics we will cover in this section. You’re likely to know what peer review is, what a referee does and how an editorial team works. If this is not the case, you may consider having a check at our FAQ. and the basics of peer review.
But the most important thing is that I would like to give you a warm welcome to our blog! As the Head of Editorial and Advisory Board, I am proud to be part of this project and to have such an important and passionate team of collaborators. From now on, in this Editorial Section we are going to spread our thoughts and share ideas with you all.
