Joachim Venus, Senior Scientist “Industrial Biotechnology”, acts as program coordinator for the research program “Material and energetic use of biomass” and head of the working group “bio-based products” at the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy Potsdam (ATB), Dept. Bioengineering. His work emphasizes on the development of continuous processes for the production of basic chemicals from biomass. At ATB he is in charge of numerous research projects being carried out in the multi-functional pilot plant for the biotechnological production of several products from plant biomass.
Adam A. Bahishti
Dr Adam A Bahishti worked in a DRDO-LASTEC sponsored major project entitled “Design and Fabrication of Photon Drag-Detectors and TEA CO2 Laser as their Evaluation” from 2006 to 2009. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2012 from Department of Physics,Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University) New Delhi, India. Immediately after completing Ph.D., in December 2012, he joined Department of Bioscience, Jamia Millia Islamia as a guest teacher in Physics and worked up to April 2013. He also worked as guest teacher in Physics, Department of Applied Science, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia New Delhi, India from July 2013 to April 2014. In August 2014, he got the position of Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics, College of Science Al-Zulfi,Majmaah University, Saudi Arabia and served there up to August 2018.
His research focus is in the Material Science for synthesis and characterization and he is also handling the editorial responsibility for the Journal of Modern Materials. Currently, he is voluntary working withAIJR publisher as Managing Editor, where his major responsibility is to maintain and improve publication quality by implementing international standard scholarly publishing practices.
Taimoor Ashraf Khan
Dr. Taimoor Ashraf Khan graduated in medicine fromNational University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) Rawalpindi, Pakistan in 2017. He is a young and enthusiastic researcher with special interest in the field of ophthalmology. In his early medical career he is author and co-author of more than 15 scientific papers while most of his work is accepted for publication in indexed scientific journals. He is certified clinical research professional from NIH-USA and is a regular reviewer of two indexed scientific journals. He has presented abstracts and conference reports in more than 12 national and international scientific conferences and symposia and won 2 young researcher’s award.
Tomasz Bajda defended his PhD thesis in 2004 at the Department of Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków (Poland). In 2016 got the position of Professor at the University and since 2012 he has been the Chair of the Mineralogy Department. In 2016 elected to be the president of theMineralogical Society of Poland.
He has published over 50 papers in the journals from the Thompson list, over 150 scientific reports and conference abstracts. He has reviewed over 110 paper for scientific journals.
His studies concerning mineral engineering in the aspects of the synthesis functionalized minerals in environmental applications.
Paulo Caldas Graduated in Physics – Optics from the University of Minho (1999), he obtained a Masters in Optoelectronics and Laser from Faculty of Science from University of Porto (2003) and a PhD in Physics from Faculty of Science from University of Porto (2011). He is Associate Professor in Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo and Senior Researcher at the Applied Photonics Center INESC TEC. It is author and co-author of over 90 scientific articles related to optical fibers sensors
Francisco Javier Bermudez-Silva
F. Javier Bermudez-Silva graduated in Biology in 1997 at the University of Malaga. He did his PhD thesis in Neurosciences at the Animal Physiology department of University of Malaga (2002). Since then, he has been investigating the central and peripheral control of energy homeostasis and its de-regulation during obesity and diabetes. In 2009-2011 he was guest researcher at theNeurocentre Magendie (INSERM), Bordeaux, France. Since 2012 is Senior Researcher at the Biomedicine Institute of Malaga (IBIMA) and at theEndocrinology Unit of Regional Hospital of Malaga.
Younes Smani graduated in Cellular Biology and Animal Physiology in 2002 at the University of Henri Poincaré, Nancy (France). He did his PhD thesis in 2006 in Hematology at the Physiology and Hematology department of University of Henri Poincaré, Nancy. In 2007, he joined the Infectious Department of University Hospital Virgen del Rocío of Seville (Spain) as posdoctoral researcher. Since 2016, he is Senior Researcher at the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville. He has published 35 papers in scientific indexed journals, over 66 conference abstracts. He has reviewed over 100 papers for scientific indexed journals.
